PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating accessory capable of carrying out coating work more efficiently at the time of the coating work using a coating roller. SOLUTION: The coating accessory is for assisting a coating work by a coating roller having a roller member 7 formed on a rod 6 fixed in one end of a rod-like hollow roller grip 4 opened in the other end and the coating accessory comprises an accessory main body 3 and an accessory grip 1 jointed to one end of the accessory main body through a jointing part 2b. The accessory main body 3 and the jointing part 2b are made to have outer shapes suitable for insertion into the inside of the roller grip 4 of the coating roller and jointing means attachable to and detachable from the inner circumference in the open end of the roller grip 4 at the time of insertion of the accessory main body and the jointing part into the roller grip 4 is formed in the outer circumference of the jointing part.
