<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a field communication system which allows data communication to be surely performed between field devices. <P>SOLUTION: The field communication system wherein field devices perform data communication through a network, includes: a first field device which transmits data through the network; a delay absorbing server which stores data transmitted from the first field device and transmits the stored data at intervals of a predetermined time; and a second field device which starts reception processing of data simultaneously with data transmission of the delay absorbing server, and receives arriving data when data transmitted from the delay absorbing server arrives within a predetermined reception processing period.
