PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can be designed in a free shape while the display process thereof is facilitated. SOLUTION: The display device 1 has a display member 3 provided with a display screen on one surface, an arm member which supports the display member pivotally on a first axis of rotation, a base member which supports the arm member pivotally on a second axis of rotation, an elastic member having one end fixed to the base member, and wire members 755 and 757 having a first end connected to the other end different from the one end of the elastic member fixed to the base member and a second end fixed to the arm member from the first end through a second axis of rotation. Consequently, the elastic member can be provided not to the arm member, but to the base member, so the manufacturing process of the display device can be facilitated. Further, the shape of the arm member can be made thin. Furthermore, the arm member can be formed in a free shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
