A ceiling cassette type air conditioner having a top plate (7) installed at its upper part and side plates (3) installed therearound comprises air suction ports (4) formed in the side plates (3), a filter (5) and a heat exchanger (6) so disposed as to face the suction ports (4), an air conditioner body (1) having a blower (8) disposed in the space surrounded by the top plate (7) and the side plates (3), and a ceiling panel (10) which is so disposed below the blower (8) as to face the top plate (7) and around which discharge ports (9) for blowing-out of air from the blower (8) are formed. The ceiling panel (10) is detachable from the air conditioner body (1).
