PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a digital-broadcasting program in a form having the digital-broadcasting program expanded more than conventional devices by following a selected image object when the digital-broadcasting program is displayed at a resolution lower than an original one. SOLUTION: A digital-broadcasting program display device 1 has a screen-selecting place detecting means 42 detecting a place on a screen for images selected on the reducing displayed screen, an image-object decision means 51 deciding the presence of the image objects at the places on the detected screen on the basis of meta data at every frame describing feature quantities and a feature-quantity extracting means 52 extracting the feature quantities described in the meta data. The digital-broadcasting program display device 1 further has a segmentated region computing means 53 computing the range of a segmentated region segmentated from frame images so that the images in the same number of pixels as the number of the pixels of a display section 60 in the frame images contain the image objects on the basis of the feature quantities when there are image objects at the places on the detected screen and an image segmentation means 442 segmentating HDTV images comprised in the range of the segmentated region.
