PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable re-travel immediately after standing up a fallen down vehicle body by automatically closing a throttle valve to predetermined low opening and continuing the operation of an engine without overrun when the vehicle body of a motorcycle is fallen down. SOLUTION: An engine control device provided with; the throttle valve 3 of an intake system; an electric motor 36 opening and closing the same; an accelerator sensor 33 detecting accelerator operation opening by a rider; a throttle censor 52 detecting opening of the throttle valve 3; and an electronic control unit 53 controlling operation of the electric motor 36 to make output signal of the throttle sensor 52 correspond to output signal of the accelerator sensor 33, is provide with a falling down sensor 65 detecting falling down of the vehicle body, and forcibly operates the electric motor 36 to close the throttle valve 3 to the predetermined low opening with taking precedence over output signal of the accelerator sensor 33 when it is determines that the vehicle body is fallen down from a condition of output signal of the falling down sensor 65.
