The lock has a case (1) with a limiter (55) movable between active and inactive positions. The limiter blocks the displacement of a dead bolt (7) from its locking position to its release position and is re-pushed to the active position by a spring (63). The limiter cooperates with a cylinder fixation screw so as to be maintained in the inactive position, when a cylinder is engaged in a cylinder housing (10), by the screw engaged in a cylinder fixation passage (93). The limiter is displaced towards the active position, when the cylinder does not retain the screw in its normal position.
