The wheel thrust bearing assembly has the outer member (5) or the inner member (3) has a member. The inner member has a wheel fixing flange (10). The other member is subjected to an air cooling or a heat treatment after the forging. The inner member is provided with a hub axle (1). The inner diameter section is subjected to a shot-blasting treatment. The ball ring surface (1a,5a,6a) of the outer member and the inner member are hardened up to a given surface hardness. The inner and outer member are manufactured steel with some content of carbon. An independent claim is also included for the method for assembly of wheel thrust bearing.
