PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the error rate of digital signal communication due to the physical defects of an inferior HDMI cable. SOLUTION: A receiver controls a transmitter so as to increase the voltage amplitude of TMDS signals, beforehand at transmission, when the voltage amplitude of the received TMDS signals is attenuated by the HDMI cable and to attach skew for correction to the TMDS signals, beforehand at transmission, when skew is generated in the received TMDS signals by the HDMI cable.
