<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device that can maintain an image of high picture quality by reducing warpage of a surface film by reducing an influence of heat and preventing the image from having color unevenness and noise even when the image display device is used for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device (color liquid crystal display) 100 has a display panel (liquid crystal display panel) 1 having pixels each composed of a plurality of sub-pixels, and the surface film 3 which is disposed on a top surface of the display panel 1 and diffuses light in each unit pixel, and the rate of thermal expansion length variations of the top surface part and reverse surface part of the surface film 3 is so adjusted that the difference in thermal expansion variation due to the temperature difference between the top surface part and reverse surface part of the surface film 3 becomes substantially 0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
