PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficiently high data throughput from a data storage device. SOLUTION: The data storage device comprises a data storage medium, a head, a data fetch buffer, and a controller. The head is constituted so as to read data stored in a logic block address (LBA) on the medium. The controller reads data through the head from the LBA on the medium discriminated by LBA access sequence information in the data storage device discriminating sequence of the LBA accessed by a host device and stores it in the data fetch buffer. Also, the controller responds to a read command from the host device toward data in the LBA of the medium discriminated by the LBA access sequence information and being already read in the data fetch buffer by informing data relating to the command read in the host device from the data fetch buffer.
