The control arm has a connection tube (2) with two bearing eyes (3), each consisting of a sleeve (4) with socket (6) and imbedded bearing element (5). A pipe section is cut to the length of the tube plus overmeasure, and an extruded profile shaped like the sleeves is formed and then cut to the axial height of the sleeves. The bearing elements are rubber-metal elements and are vulcanized into the sleeve blanks. Blanks and tubes are clamped in a friction welding machine, the sockets are formed by cutting, and then welded to the end faces of the tube.
