A tree pruner supported by a pole 5 comprises a slotted body 16 having a hook portion 15 defining an opening into which is movable a pivotally-mounted shear blade 20 which can be actuated against the bias of a spring 30 by pull means 38 comprising a flexible cord 52 to which is secured an adjustable cylindrical hand grip 56 having holes 58, 60 and 62 through which the cord is threaded. The pole 5 may be extendable. The pruner also comprises a pivotallymounted adjustable saw blade. |
