Heading F4V. Flexible valve members 9, which may be of polyethylene terephthalate, are used to cover apertures 8, 11 through which air is supplied to a distribution box 1. The apertures 8 supply air entering the vehicle via a grille 6 and chamber 2 when the vehicle is moving and the aperture 11 supplies air from a fan 5. The valves are actuated by the pressure of the air. A heater 4 connected to the engine cooling system is fitted if the air is to be heated. In a modification the apertures 8 may be replaced by a single aperture the members 9 being secured at their top edges and overlapping each other along one side edge. The member 11 may also be secured at its top edge.</p> |
