<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new compound by introducing hydroxy group(s) to a phenyl group (benzene ring) of a flavone compound. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a flavone hydroxide compound, comprises the following process: At least one of (a) a modified aromatic ring dioxygenase (modified BphA) and dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (BphB), (b) microorganisms expressing the modified BphA and the BphB and (c) a cultured product of the microorganisms, is added to a sample containing a flavone compound followed by mixing or culture, and from the resultant mixture or cultured product, the objective flavone hydroxide compound is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
