<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a hybrid vehicle which can suppress the heat generation of a battery while suppressing the drop in acceleration feeling given to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: A controller for a hybrid vehicle is equipped with an engine for outputting a driving force for a vehicle, a motor for assisting the output of the engine, and a battery for supplying the motor with power.
