<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping device, which is equipped with an operation member (13) disposed so that reciprocating movement may be performed corresponding to the movement of a furniture part, a damper (19), and a gear stage (29) for converting the operation of the operation member (13) into that of the damper (19), capable of realizing a damping effect in one direction with a simple means and little damping effect in the opposite direction. <P>SOLUTION: The gear stage (29) is equipped with an overrun clutch (31) which is placed into an engaged state in operating the operation member (13) in a first direction and into a disconnected state into a disengaged state in operating the operation member in the opposite direction to the first direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
