<p>Prepn. of prostanoic acid derivs. of formula (I) is new (where R is H or 1-4C alkyl; m is 3,4 or 5; n is 2,3 or 4; R' is 1-4C opt. unsatd. aliphatic gp. 3-6C cycloalkyl opt. contg. one double bond; also their salts when R is H) in which a cpd. of formula (II) is oxidised to give a cpd. of formula (III) which in turn is treated with a Grignard reagent R1Mg.X (where X is halogen) to convert the gp. into the gp. then treating the prod. with acid to decompose the oxime gp. and liberate the ketone. Inter. (III) are new. The cpds. (I) are hypotensives, contractors of smooth muscle and antagonists of bronchoconstriction.</p> |
