PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable inspection car usable even when hand ropes having sufficient strength are not arranged. SOLUTION: This cable inspection car 10 moves along a cable 3 of a suspension bridge, and has a car body 11 supported by the cable 3, driving mechanisms 22A and 22B for moving the car body 11 along the cable 3, cages 12A and 12B suspended from the car body 11 and traveling wheels 21 placed on an upper surface of the cable 3 and rotating in response to the movement of the car body 11, and also has auxiliary wheels 51 of push-applying from the car body 11 side to the hand ropes 8A and 8B extended along the cable 3.
