PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for harvesting with a combine harvester designed to perform harvesting operation while preventing thrusting or sinking of a reaping pre-treating part into a field. SOLUTION: The method for harvesting with the combine harvester is carried out as follows. A lowering stopper means 8 acting on the reaping pre-treating part 10 is made to act and the harvesting traveling is carried out while supporting the reaping pre-treating part 10 at a connection height floated from the ground surface to the set reaping height and permitting the reaping pre-treating part 10 to perform the lifting operation with ground contact reaction force.
