<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image coding apparatus capable of performing the parallel processing of an intra prediction and outputting coding data to be decoded by an image decoding apparatus based on the standard of H.264. <P>SOLUTION: The image coding apparatus performs orthogonal transformation, quantization, reverse quantization, reverse orthogonal transformation, and intra prediction concerning each one of whole blocks which are divided from one macro block. The image coding apparatus includes: a prediction block control part 22 for intra predicting the whole blocks in order which is different from the order of raster scan which is regulated by the standard of H.264, through the use of a part of modes regulated by the standard of H.264 to be used for intra prediction concerning at least a part of the whole blocks; and an aligning buffer 23 for outputting the whole intra-predicted blocks in the order of raster scan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
