PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is difficult to freely adjust the exposure concentration depending on a variety of chemical substances when evaluating the inhalation toxicity action given to a test mammal by the chemical substance. SOLUTION: In the inhalation toxicity testing for evaluation of inhalation toxicity actions which chemical substances have, the use of calcium carbonate powder as diluent medium for adjusting the exposure concentration of the chemical substance is disclosed, and the method for inhalation exposure of the chemical substance to a test mammal includes the first process (1) of uniformly mixing the chemical substance and the calcium carbonate powder to adjust the exposure concentration of the chemical substance, and the second process (2) of inhalation exposure of the mixture prepared in the first process to the test mammal.
