<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensing device capable of photographing images continuously, while suppressing occurrence of smear and degradation in resolution. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of image frames are photographed continuously, the solid state image sensing device 10 instructs photographing of a normal frame or a smear frame selectively at the frame control unit 38 of a system control unit 14. Then, the frame control unit 38 directs to photograph a smear frame for each predetermined N numbers, in a case when photographing of the plurality of the image frames is instructed at every predetermined interval. An image pick-up 22 photographs the normal frame and the smear frame. A smear correction of portion 30 of a signal processor 28 applies smear correction to the normal frame using the smear frame.
