PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed stacked papers one by one securely by starting from the uppermost paper. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is provided with a separation member 40 for separating the uppermost paper to be fed by a paper feeding roller 10 from the next paper among the stacked papers due to being pressed against the paper feeding roller 10 through a paper. Rubber seats 50 forming many elastic projections 51 on a contact face side with the paper to be fed by the paper feeding roller 10 are arranged on both sides of the paper feeding roller between an abutting part T1 of the paper set in a stacked condition on the paper feeding roller 10 and an abutting part T2 of the paper feeding roller 10 on the separation member 40 with respect to the direction F of paper feeding.
