PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled vacuum cleaner capable of executing cleaning in an optimal state suppressing dispersion of dust and pollen. SOLUTION: This self-propelled vacuum cleaner is provided with a traveling means 4, a cleaning means 3, a humidifying means 8, a humidity detecting means 6 detecting the humidity of a cleaning area, a humidification determination means 7 determining whether or not actuating the humidifying means 8, a time-counting means 10 counting the time till a predetermined cleaning start time, and a humidifying means control part 9 actuating the humidifying means 8; and, when the humidity from the humidity detection means 6 is lower than the determination humidity predetermined by the humidification determination means 7, instructs the humidification 8 to start operation at a predetermined time before a cleaning start time. This constitution can detect the humidity of the cleaning area before the predetermined automatic cleaning start time and, when it is lower than the predetermined humidity, operate the humidifying means so as to clean in the optimal state suppressing the dust and pollen.
