#CMT# #/CMT# The aircraft has one or more turboprop engines (7) with lengthwise axes (L-L) parallel to the lengthwise axis (X-X) of the aircraft, mounted on pylons (8) on a rear cell of the aircraft fuselage that acts as a noise barrier. Depending on the number of engines and the tail assembly configuration, the turboprop engines are located between vertical fins (5) and/or horizontal tailplanes (6), with contrarotating twin propellers (9, 10) located to the rear of the engines and as far as possible towards the rear of the aircraft. The aircraft can be propelled by turboprop engine(s) alone or a combination of turboprop and under-wing turbojet engines. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Aircraft propulsion system with reduced environmental impact. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The noise of the turboprop engines is cut to a minimum, and overall fuel consumption is reduced. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a side view of the rear fuselage of an aircraft with two turboprop engines. 3R : Rear part of fuselage 5 : Vertical fins 6 : Tailplanes 7 : Turboprop engines 8 : Pylons 9, 10 : Twin propellers 11 : Zone of maximum noise.
|
