PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material loading device of a horizontal slicer, feeding a meat block having uneven end faces thrown into a meat box of the horizontal slicer to a predetermined position by mechanical force. SOLUTION: In this material loading device of the horizontal slicer including a rear feeder in the meat box, a bracket 2 is driven to move forward and backward by a first air cylinder 1 on the upside in the rear of the meat box, a pair of right and left main levers 4 are hinged on a fulcrum shaft 3 mounted on the bracket, and a second air cylinder 5 is provided between the rear end parts of the main levers and the bracket. In the material loading device of the horizontal slicer, a suitable number of pressure contact member units respectively having a pressure contact operating rod 10 slidable with a bending and stretching spring 9 supported on a second bracket 8, a holding part 11 and a pressing claw 12 are disposed on the upper and lower, and right and left sides of a mounting board 6 fixed to the tips of the main levers.
