<p>The invention relates to a method for loading a source software code (10) compiled in an object-oriented intermediate language in a digital portable device (20) provided with a virtual target machine, comprising a step for converting the series of instructions of said code source for generating a destination code (50) formed from said series of converted instructions, and comprising a step for updating the destination code involving the determination, for each converted jump instruction, of the new jump destination address in the destination code corresponding to the jump destination address of the corresponding jump instruction in the source code. The invention is characterized in that the determination of the new jump destination address in the destination code comprises a simultaneous analysis of source and destination codes while taking the size of the instructions of the source code into account as well as the size of the corresponding converted instructions of the destination code.</p> |
