METHOD FOR NETWORK EQUIPMENT GENERATING SUBSCRIBER CARD AUTHENTICATION RANDOM NUMBER AND METHOD OF AUTHENTICATION

A method of authentication in mobile communication network is disclosed. The method sets security key and terminal authentication serial number corresponding to the mobile terminal in the network equipment and mobile terminal respectively in advance. When needing authentication, the network equipment generates terminal authentication random number, and generates terminal message authentication coding according to the security key, terminal authentication serial number and terminal authentication random number. The network equipment generates subscriber card authentication random number according to the terminal authentication random number, terminal authentication serial number and terminal message authentication coding, and sends the subscriber card authentication random number to mobile terminal. Then, the mobile terminal judges whether to pass authentication of the network according to the security key set by itself and the received subscriber card authentication random number. A method for network equipment generating subscriber card authentication random number and method for terminal authenticating to the network are also disclosed.
