PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive method of a solid-state imaging apparatus which realizes a CDS function capable of dividedly transferring photo electric charges from a photoelectric conversion section and reading a noise component in advance. SOLUTION: The drive method of the solid-state imaging apparatus configured with the arrangement of a plurality of unit pixels each including: a storage well 2 for storing optically generated electric charges; a floating diffusion 8 to which the optically generated electric charges are transferred; an amplifier means for outputting an amplified pixel signal on the basis of the optically generated electric charges transferred to the floating diffusion 8; and a transfer control element 4 with an electric charge storage region 6 for controlling a potential barrier of a transfer path between the storage well 2 and the floating diffusion 8 and storing the optically generated electric charges, includes a first transfer step of the transfer control element 4 for controlling the potential barrier of the transfer path for all the pixels at the same time to dividedly transfer the optically generated electric charges stored in the storage well 2 to the electric charge storage region.
