The vehicle train (1) consists of a lead vehicle (2), at least one trailer vehicle (3) that is not mechanically connected to the lead vehicle and containing a drive and a trailer control for following the lead vehicle and a wireless communications connection (4) between the vehicles for transferring lead vehicle parameters and commands to start the drive or release the parking brake of the trailer vehicle from the lead vehicle to the trailer vehicle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of operating a vehicle train (B) a trailer vehicle (C) and a motor vehicle with a display for indicating the vehicle's speed, revolution rate, tank contents or engine temperature.
