Interface for voucher and coupon printing

An interface and method for driving a printer are disclosed. The interface includes a first driver that receives data from a local controller and a second driver that receives data from a central system controller. The received data from both sources relates to information to be printed. The interface further includes a processor for generating standard printer commands for the printer in response to the received data. The interface has particular application to voucher and coupon printing for gaming machines.
