PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular control unit decelerating a vehicle according to an intention of a driver. SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program including steps of: (S102) determining whether a driver has an intention for deceleration when the driver does the manual shift operation (YES in S100); (S104) determining whether a transmission is speed-changed to the downshift side when the driver has an intention for deceleration (YES in S102); and (S106) making the braking control to provide the braking force to a vehicle by a brake actuator when the transmission is not speed-changed to the downshift side.
