PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for preventing the incorrect taking out/return operation of merchandise by display-restraining and selling merchandise whose selling prices are different for each of rails installed on the outer peripheral face of a rotary body. SOLUTION: This vending machine 1 is configured of a merchandise selling part 100 having a gate part 6 which permits or inhibits the taking out of the merchandise 4 according to the position of a rotatable column 5 having at least one guide rail 3 where pieces of the merchandise 4 whose selling prices are different from one another are displayed for every type, and temporarily blocks the rotation of the column 5 during the taking out of the merchandise 4 in order to prevent the double taking out of the merchandise 4 or the movement of the merchandise 4 to incorrect positions and a control box 200 connected through a cable 300 to the merchandise selling part 100, including a coin processing part 203 and a control part 201 which controls the whole vending machine 1.
