PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impedance mismatching, insertion loss, or the like in a high frequency signal attenuating device, or the like. SOLUTION: Signal lines 2S constituting a portion of a coplaner line 2 at end parts of input and output sides of the high frequency signal attenuating device 100 constitute center lines 2SA with central parts extended. Side lines 2SB and 2SC are formed at both outer sides of the center lines 2SA to be a coplaner structure. A resistance attenuator 4 is formed between the center lines 2SA respectively extended from the end parts of the input and output sides. MEMS switches (hereinafter, MS) 10 and 30 for connecting and disconnecting the signal lines 2S to/from the side lines 2SB and 2SC, and an MS 20 for connecting and disconnecting the side lines 2SB and 2SC to/from ground lines 2g1 and 2g2 are provided. According to a user's instruction, a control part (not shown) turns off contact parts S1 and S1 of the MS 10, turns on contact parts S3 and S3 of the MS 30 and turns on contact parts S2 and S2 of the MS 20 to make a high frequency signal pass through the resistance attenuator 4, or turns on the contact parts S1 and S1 and the contact parts S3 and S3, turns off the contact parts S2 and S2 to make the high frequency signal pass through.
