PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a break saw which has high durability and can finely crush an object to be crushed. SOLUTION: The break saw (1) comprises a crushing cutter (2) which is arranged on the outer peripheral portion of a metal base (3) and has a plurality of saw-tooth shape crushing edges (4 to 7) formed with a required pitch in the circumferential direction and arranged in the axial direction, and a cutting-off cutter (10) which is coaxially formed on the outer peripheral portion of a thin base plate and has saw-tooth shape cutting blades formed with a required pitch in the circumferential direction. The blade widths (W1 to W4) of the respective crushing edges (4 to 7) of the crushing cutter (2) are gradually widened toward the cutting-off cutter (10). Further, the respective crushing edges (4 to 7) are formed to be helical blades, and the helical angle (α1) of the innermost crushing edge (4) neighboring the cutting-off cutter (10) is set to be larger than the helical angles (α2,α3,α4) of the outer side crushing edges (5, 6, 7) located on the opposite side of the cutting-off cutter (10).
