PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for measuring ultrasonic measurement of quantity of flow and capable of measuring even fluids, such as gases, in which the ultrasonic wave velocity waves is low. SOLUTION: A system for measuring quantity of flow is provided with a method of burst wave oscillation that oscillates burst sound waves into tracers in a gas a plurality of number of times; a reflected wave receiving means for receiving the waves reflected from the tracers; a tracer location computing means for computing the locations of the tracers on the basis of the reflected waves; a tracer speed computing means for computing the speed of the tracers by a cross-correlation method, based on the computed locations of the tracers and reflected waves of a plurality of number of times from the tracers; a flow velocity distribution computing means for computing flow velocity distribution, on the basis of the computed locations and the computed speed of a large number of tracers; and a flow computing means for computing the quantity of flow, on the basis of the computed flow velocity distribution.
