PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a printing image of an upstream end or a downstream end of a medium. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector is equipped with nozzles which form the image to the medium by ejecting the liquid towards the medium on the basis of data on the image while moving relatively to the medium, a conveyance part which conveys the medium in a predetermined direction, and a liquid ejection control part which changes a timing for the liquid to be ejected from the nozzles by using dummy pixel data as data on pixels that constitute the image for the data on the image. When the liquid is ejected from the nozzles towards a region of at least either one of the upstream end and the downstream end of the medium conveyed by the conveyance part, the liquid ejection control part changes the timing by using the dummy pixel data in an arrangement different from that when the liquid is ejected from the nozzles towards another region different from the region.
