The normal display operation charges a first capacitive structure in an energy recovery circuit of the plasma display and discharges the first capacitive structure to the plurality of first electrodes, and the initial energy recovery circuit charging operation charges the first capacitive structure and does not discharge the first capacitive structure to the plurality of first electrodes.
