A traveling vehicle (1) having a vehicle body (2) provided with an occupant placement section for placing an occupant on it and coaxially arranged wheels (8) rotatably supported by the vehicle body (2). The traveling vehicle (1) further has occupant exit detection means (152) for detecting an exit of the occupant on the occupant placement section (3) and also has control means (100) having a gravity center correction function for keeping the position of the center of gravity of the traveling vehicle (1) on a vertical line passing through the center of the wheels (8) and, when the occupant exit detection means (152) detects an exit of the occupant, stops the gravity center correction function.
