PRINTER, PRINTER SYSTEM AND PRINTER SYSTEM CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print with a standard-size form made to correspond to the printing position of printing data in a printer performing printing on continuous paper previously printed with a standard form.

SOLUTION: A host computer converts a specific field length to a reference step count, instructs a printer to perform printing on the basis of the reference step count (S13), converts an error to a step count and sends it to the printer as an adjusted step count together with the reference step count by being given the error to the specific field length from the result of the printing (S16). The printer performs printing on the basis of the reference step count in accordance with a print indication from the host computer (S24) and then obtains a corrected step count by correcting the reference step count given from the host computer by the adjusted step count and performs printing on the basis of the corrected reference step count.
