<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of conventional replacement panels for combustor liners wherein heat stress may be induced in the panels during the operation, and if the operation is performed continuously while being subject to the heat stress, the panel causes thermal fatigue, weak points and/or cracks occur inside, and the panel must be replaced by replacing it with high cost effectiveness and high reliability since the replacement requires long time and high cost. <P>SOLUTION: This replacement panel 240 for repairing the liner of the combustor of a gas turbine engine having a combustion zone formed by an inner liner and an outer liner comprises a sheet formed of a material suitable for use in the combustion liner, at least one opening 96 formed in the sheet, a thermal barrier material 10 applied onto the sheet adjacent to at least one opening 96, and a peripheral edge part 245 not coated with the thermal barrier material 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
