A management system and a method for a biostrip are provided to manage the expiration date of the biostrip, thereby avoiding using the expired biostrip for testing. A management system(1) of a biostrip(16) applicable to a biomedical measurement device to manage at least one biostrip comprises: a setting unit(11) used for inputting at least one piece of setting data(14) of the biostrip; a management unit(12) which generates a count reference value(15) based on the time of the inputted setting data, data content and a combination thereof; and an execution unit(13) used for monitoring the expiration date of the biostrip corresponding to the count of the count reference value, wherein the setting data includes a calibration code, a calibration data, an operation parameter, an amount of the biostrip in a batch, a first opening date, an expiration date or a combination thereof, the count reference value includes an expiration date, a number of days, a number of weeks to the expiration date or a combination thereof, the management unit comprises a counting unit for the counting of time, amount or a combination thereof and the execution unit determines the status of the strip by comparing the count reference value with the data of the current time. A method for managing the biostrip comprises the steps of: (a) inputting at least one piece of setting data of the biostrip; (b) generating the count reference value based on the time of the inputted setting data, data content or a combinations thereof; and (c) monitoring the expiration date of the biostrip corresponding to the count of the count reference value.
