<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a touch panel 4 used as an input device of a portable device which is so configured that a vibration element 9 vibrates the touch panel 4 for a user's recognition of operations may fail to transmit the vibration to the user and to provide an operational feel when operated with a touch pen. <P>SOLUTION: A user generally operates a portable device as holding it. When the user operates a touch panel 4, a control part 22 actuates a drive circuit 27 to drive a vibration element 9 mounted on a front case 1, which in turn vibrates the front case 1 and a rear case 2.
