<p>The invention provides an antimicrobial composition comprising an aqueous solution of silver and copper, devices/formulations comprising such a composition and a method of preparing such a composition. The invention also provides a use of a composition of the invention to destroy colonies of microorgansims and a method of treating a human or animal suffering from a microbial infection, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a composition of the invention.</p>
