PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skill evaluating method for quantitatively evaluating the skill of a golf player by measuring the ocular motion of the golf player. SOLUTION: The golfing skill evaluating method outputs measurement data on ocular motion of the golf player during swings or strokes obtained by using an ocular motion measuring instrument 11 to an arithmetic device, prepares parameters on the basis of the data obtained by the measurement, and rates the skill of the player in consideration of skill evaluating conditions concerning the parameters. The ocular motion of the player is measured by using the ocular motion measuring instrument 11, superimposes data obtained by measurement on data of visual field videos, outputs the superimposed data to the arithmetic device, saves the superimposed data in a storage means through a prescribed system, computes a plurality of parameters from the saved data through the prescribed system, and evaluates the skill of the player in consideration of the skill evaluating conditions concerning the computed parameters.
