It is possible to provide a document discarding management system and a document discarding management method which can confirm/manage that a document has been completely discarded. A document discarding device (10) which discards a document acquires information identifying a document when discarding the document and transmits the information to a document management server (15). The document management server (15) records the information for identifying the document transmitted from the document discarding device (10).
