<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auction system for improving the presence of scenes for entertaining participants and for effectively mediating between a seller and a buyer for improving rate for successful bids. <P>SOLUTION: This auction system is provided with a seller-side terminal for putting an article for an auction, a buyer-side terminal for making a bid at the auction, and a manager-side terminal mediating the auction; and each of the seller-side terminal, the buyer-side terminal, and the manager-side terminal connected mutually via a communication means is provided with a communication means for carrying out communication, in substantially real time, an information input/output means, an information display means, a computing processing means, and a storage means. The manager-side terminal mediating between the seller-side terminal and the buyer-side terminal transmits/receives information to/from the seller-side terminal and the buyer-side terminal for controlling the auction.
