PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a POF cable having a uniform thickness of inner coating layer and an excellent optical characteristic. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the plastic optical fiber cable forms an inner coating layer by using a coating material A on the outer periphery of the plastic optical fiber having a core-sheath structure, and also forms an outer coating layer by using a coating material B on the outer periphery of the inner coating layer. The method is characterized in that a die is used for introducing the coating material A and the coating material B onto the outer periphery part of the plastic optical fiber, wheren the length L of the land part, and the diameter D of the die hole of the die satisfy the relation 0.1 mm≤L≤15 mm and 0.3≤L/D≤10.
