<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device that facilitates alignment between the optical axis of light from a light emitting element and the light receiving face of a core for receiving the light. <P>SOLUTION: On an upper surface of a first and a second under-cladding layer 21, 22, there are each provided a light emitting element 5 and a core 3 for receiving the light of this light emitting element 5.
